Conversion (2 day) Workshop

Are you an Intermediate/Advanced Salsa dancer and have always wanted to learn Cuban Salsa/Rueda?

Or would you like to join our Cuban Rueda performance team in September but need to brush up on your Cuban skills?

Melbourne salsa invites you to join our CUBAN SALSA Conversion Workshop with Gysvier Aldana Noriega.

This workshop will be held over 2 days
Sunday 11th & Sunday 18th August 4pm -6pm
At the Melbourne Salsa Studio – Collingwood

Sunday 11th August 4pm -6pm (2 hours)
Part 1:
In this workshop, Gysvier will cover Body movement for men and women. Cuban basic steps and rueda patterns partner changes and basic Cuban moves – mandatory for those who have never done Cuban Rueda or want to refresh the fundamentals of Rueda de casino.

Sunday 18th August 4pm -6pm (2 hours)
Part2:
In this workshop you will learn complicated Cuban turns, Rueda dynamics, team patterns and different formations, executing the moves by the caller (Gys) and dancing in sync at a faster pace.

LADIES STYLING WORKSHOP

Ladies Arm styling, body movement and footwork Workshop

***Intermediate & Advanced level***

Feel more comfortable and confident with your arm styling, body movement and footwork dancing Salsa and Bachata with this 2 hour workshop.
Learn how to style on the social floor so that you are not simply passively following steps but can playfully converse with your partner using timing and styling.

We will focus on:
Natural and effortless Arm styling.
Body movement, isolations and correct weight transfer.
Footwork and different rhythms for Salsa and Bachata.
